Robert König, Tägerwilen

Robert König’s farm has been purely organic since 1930.  As founder of the Ornithological Society, his grandfather was against the use of chemical pesticides on fruit trees, in order to protect the birds, thus laying the cornerstone for his organic farm.  Without a doubt, he is to be counted among the Swiss organic pioneers.  This love for animals has been passed down to his grandson, Robert König.  As well as organic potatoes, beets and carrots for Biotta, König’s farm also grows grains.  And this inveterate organic farmer and animal lover also hosts a petting zoo with horses, donkeys, ponies, sheep and even kangaroos from far off Australia.
